A Compilation by Claudia Hardi aka F. Sigorski

1066 & All That - the Mallory Neely House is a personal experimental workspace. The mode of associative attention are annotations, footnotes and excerpts out of reading material of the news which is relevant to us, whether it is urgent or remote. A versatile info sphere resulting from the practice of perpetually scanning the horizon for cultural references - be it an internet travelogue, a collection, a storage space.

VJ Day Kiss Disassembled – Sculpture Park

Alfred Eisenstaedt's iconic photograph of a sailor and a nurse celebrating the end of the Second World War with a kiss in Times Square has sold at a Valentine's Day auction in New York for $15,000. The VJ Day Kiss was purchased by an anonymous buyer who did not attend the auction in person. The silver resin-coated picture was printed in 1980 and is signed by the Polish-born photographer who worked for Life magazine over several decades. Original Photograph: Times Square, VJ Day, 1945 by Alfred Eisenstaedt / Life. Image: A disassembled statue at a sculpture park.
